With over 20 years of private teaching experience and a wealth of knowledge gained from performance in nearly every genre of music, Nate Wilson is well suited to help guide you along your musical path no matter what your age, experience level or personal goals may be!
With young beginners, (ages 6 and up) Nate has developed a teaching method that focuses on exploring the fundamentals of reading, technique, basic music theory and ear training, always within a fun, friendly and encouraging learning environment. As a teacher of young students, Nate believes his primary goal is to pass along the joy that everyone can experience learning to play an instrument, and to encourage and cultivate a lifetime love of music by discovering each individual student’s unique strengths and interests.
For more advanced students Nate takes a structured approach to a wide variety of subjects like chord theory, jazz and blues improvisation, ear training, elements of songwriting and composition, classical studies, and piano technique. Whether your goal is to create your own arrangement of pop songs, become a great solo jazz or blues pianist, learn to accompany yourself as a singer, write your own songs and compositions, or explore the piano repertoire of the great composers, Nate can set you on a disciplined course to achieve your musical goals.
Nate is now accepting new students for the Summer/Fall of 2022. Lessons are conducted at Nate's home studio in Worcester, MA or online via zoom. For more information on private study and to schedule a free trial lesson please fill out the contact form below.
